A Walk Through Nafplio's Old Town: The Complete Route

Nafplio's Old Town doesn't need GPS — it just needs a willingness to get a little lost. Here's a suggested route for those who want a specific order of stops.

Stop 1: Three Admirals Square

Start at Three Admirals Square — the natural centre of the old town.

Stop 2: Old Town Alleys

Head south, through alleys with neoclassical buildings.

Stop 3: Climbing into Psaromachalas

Turn upward, following the stepped streets of Psaromachalas — the town's oldest neighbourhood.

Stop 4: Agia Sofia

Inside Psaromachalas, the Byzantine church of Agia Sofia was once the only permitted Orthodox church within the walls.

Stop 5: Acronauplia and the Clock Tower

Continue climbing to Acronauplia and the Clock Tower — the reward is the best panoramic view in town.
