Tolo beach: "Psili Ammos"
Tolo beach or "Psili Ammos" called by the locals is located just twelve kilometers outside Nafplio toward Epidaurus next to the small village of Tolo is from the most popular tourist resorts of Argolida.
Tolo is a former fishing village that will impress you with its facilities and view which gives you the harbor with the fishing and excursion boats across two small islands, Koronisi and Romvi. The view to your eyes is picturesque, romantic and simultaneously idyllic.
Access
To reach the beach you must use private or rented car or use the public bus. With private car you will need to take the road toward Epidaurus and just one kilometer outside the Nafplio will encounter the first round about that has three exits (Tolo - Epidaurus - Athens), proceed toward to Tolo you will find yourself in split road after the village Lefkakia. Left is the path toward Drepanon, right the way to Tolo where you have to go on.
You will cross Asini village and at the exit of it you will encounter the second round about with two exits where both lead in Tolo. Go to the first exit where it is and the shorter direction and after approximately two kilometers you will see the beach of Tolo from tall.
On your right is the village Tolo, you can find anything you need and left in front of you spreads the beach of Tolo. At this point in front of the beach there is ample free parking.
Type
The name "Psili Ammos" = "Fine Sand" that the locals call the beach is exactly the type of beach it is.
The sea is crystal clear and the sandy beach is an extensive golden and fine sand.
The bottom of the sea is the same sandy with crystal clear water that you can see through.
It is an ideal beach for every kind of visitor and for families with children as well as the children can play and swim without fear.
Tolo Beach has been awarded multiple times with the blue flag.
Facilities
Psili Ammos is considered the most cosmopolitan and organized beach of region of Nafplio.
It gives you the opportunity to rent parasols with sun loungers, with a bit of a walk will encounter coffee and many restaurants, traditional taverns and beach bars where you can relax while looking the uninterrupted view and enjoy your meal or a drink.
For the more energetic there are populous water sports facilities where you can choose for rent from canoing, wind surf, pedals or even jet ski.
Various
During the summer season are available daily cruises from the port of Tolo to Hydra, Spetses and Monemvasia.
At the far end of the beach on the opposite side of the village is the rock of Ancient Asini from the Mycenaean period.
Historic
Inside the gulf is located the isle Romvi featuring medieval segments of the castle walls, while the isle Daskalio formerly worked as school.
