Drepano beach: The most famous beach of Argolida

Plaka beach is located just twelve kilometers outside Nafplio next to the village of Drepano. At Plaka beach you have three kilometers of coast to choose whether you want to spend cosmopolitan holidays, take a family bath or find a quiet place to relax on the beach.

Access

The beach is 700 meters from the village of Drepano. To get there, you will have to leave Nafplio in the direction of Epidaurus and just one kilometer outside of Nafplio you will find the first big node that has three directions (Tolo - Epidavros - Athens). After you head towards Tolo, you will find yourself in a fork after the village of Lefkakia. To the right is the road to Tolo and to the left is the road to Drepano that you have to follow.

After you reach Drepano village (right on the main square) you should turn right and after about one hundred meters turn left to Plaka beach.

Type

The beach has mostly small and large pebbles and some of it is sandy.

Its bottom is mostly sandy but at some places are some stone slabs that originate from it and the name Plaka beach.

Infrastructures

The beach gives you all the choices you may want.

It features many organized Beach Bars, umbrellas for rent with sun loungers and taverns.

Along the beach there are many camping sites as well as rooms for rent for those who choose a holiday literally on the beach.

Parking is free along the beach.

Plaka Drepanou Beach became famous for its television series "At Camping" in the 1980s.
