Neo Roeino
Neo Roeino is built on a slope overlooking Nafplio and is 7 km away from the city. The name of the village came from the anagrams of the word "mountainous".

The town of Roino in Arcadia, which during the Ottoman domination had assembled inhabitants from the entire Peloponnese with a population of about 1,000 inhabitants and was the center of the entire area of ​​Falcanthos. At the beginning of the 20th century (before 1950) the inhabitants migrated to various countries such as America, Canada, Australia and Germany to seek a better fortune. Those who did not leave abroad moved to Argolida because the region was familiar with them after they brought their flocks in the winter.
The first settlement is estimated around 1915 and in 1920 the church of Agia Marina is built in the village, after the intervention of the deputy Turkkosas, which was the village's main point until 1963, when the present church of Agia Marina.
In 1930, Papanastasiou expropriated the properties of the Monastery of St. Demetrius of Karakalas and the inhabitants took their first clergy. Later, in 1952, the elementary school operated in the village for the first time.
In the central square of the village it has been named after Archbishop Theodoros Kolokotronis, because many of the ancestors of his current inhabitants had fought at his side.
Near the village there is the picturesque rock "Makri Lithari", where hundreds of stairs lead you to the chapel of Prophet Elias.
Most of the inhabitants are farmers and market their agricultural products, supplying with food the surrounding big cities of Nafplio, Argos and Athens. There are cafes and taverns in the village and the visitor can taste traditional dishes.
Neo Roino belongs to the municipal unit of Nea Tiryntha of the Municipality of Nafplio and it appears under the name Neo Roeino.
